After your mt4 expert advisor (EA trading software) has been downloaded, kindly follow the below steps to Install an Expert Advisor in MetaTrader 4 (MT4 broker) platform.
- Open Metatrader 4 terminal and on the top left corner click File
2. Select Open Data Folder
3. Open the MQL4 folder
4. Open the Experts folder
5. Save the expert advisor’s .ex4/.mq4 file in the Experts folder
Note: In the case of the zip file, kindly unzip it and extract your mt4 EA. in the Experts folder. This mt4 ea could be in the form of ex4 file or mql4 file.
Open your MetaTrader 4 terminal again and go to the Navigator window.
6. On the top left of the terminal, click View
7. Click Navigator
8. Navigator window will appear on the left corner of MT4
9. Take the mouse pointer at Expert Advisors and Right-Click
10. Click Refresh
11. Your expert advisor is successfully compiled and loaded, now you can drag it and drop it on your relevant chart.
